We Can't Wait!

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Class is in session this morning and the topic is quite fascinating. We are going to discover the proper way to circumvent Congress and the Constitution. Let's prepare our morning meal and sharpen our pencils.

Today we will be creating a Fruit Parfait. You will need 1 cup of granola, 1 (8-ounce) container of strawberry or peach yogurt, 8 large strawberries, hulled and sliced, 1 sliced banana, 1 cup seedless grapes, 1 sliced peach, 1/2 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup chopped almonds or walnuts.

Hopefully you remembered to mix the yogurt and granola together before you went to bed last night. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and in a separate bowl, toss together the prepared fruit. Take out 4 pretty tall glasses and begin layering the fruit and yogurt mixture. Top off with some yogurt and sprinkle with nuts. Grab your school supplies and I'll meet you in class.

Welcome, students. President Obama has provided us with a perfect example of how to rule by fiat. Learn from his actions so that when it is your turn to assume a position of leadership you will know exactly how to circumvent the Constitution, the Congress and the American people. The first thing you must do is create a catchy, compelling slogan that will appeal to the kind of people who have been slumming in the park near Wall Street.

President Obama has chosen a wonderful slogan, "We can't wait". It has a nice ring to it and it's edgy. He is going to get his jobs bill through all by himself. He doesn't need Congress. He doesn't need the American people and he surely doesn't need the Constitution. He doesn't care about any of the normal safeguards that were put in place to protect us from having a president turn into a dictator.

He is in a hurry. Time is his enemy and he will not be deterred by anyone or anything. He plans on forcing banks to make loans to struggling homeowners. So what if they are risky. When the proverbial "poo" hits the fan, he probably will be back in Chicago stirring up dissent. When you are president you shouldn't have to worry about whether or not people can pay back loans. When you are president you can take from the rich and give to the poor. When you are president you don't have to wait. After all, if the president waits for Congress to actually vote on his plans, he knows they will never be approved. Why? Because they are ludicrous.

So I leave you with this thought. When things are not going your way. When you can't solve even one of our nation's problems, just blame Bush, Congress, the Republicans, the rich and the Constitution. It's good to be the King...POP...

Dear Tom,

Why doesn't Obama just take a match to the Constitution and get it over with? See you at the Inn. I'm buying.

I am still astounded that no one in congress has brought up the possibility of impeachment. The bum in the white house circumvents the Constitution and the congress constantly, and in all his transgressions no one thinks there has been an impeachable offense? Can't be. (Not Aunt Bea, can't be). Is congress being hushed by Soros? Something stinks here and no one is looking for the source of the stinkThe occupy wall street a-holes were created by Obumma et al. This is what a community activist does. Does anyone get it? WE cannot put up with this crap any longer. The Repubs better get an a great nominee or its four more years till the death of the U.S. (And dim wit Perry isn't the answer). So, time to chill at the bar. See you all there and we can discuss further. BARTENDER...................

POP: Well, here goes another letter to my Congressman. I don't understand why they stand idly by while Obama rules by Executive Order. Unless he can sign it, but they won't fund it! Only a wish. I wonder if this is just another idle threat - he is out campaigning, and promising the world to get votes.

I'm off to the bar - save me a seat....

Dear taxlarry,

You just printed all the news that's fit to print. I'll meet you at the bar, but I don't know if I'm up to discussing it further, but I'll try. Have a Bloody Mary waiting and I will rise to the occasion.

Dear Pino,

He is definitely all about the campaign, but I don't trust him at all! See you at the bar.

Pop, it's insane to watch, I wrote letters to house and senate members telling them I wanted charges brought against obama over bribery when he tried to get a few to drop out of senate seat races. I think I hit 20 plus offices from Arizona and got no replies from Arizona but got 3 replies from out of state members of the Senate all said pretty much the same "we brought it up and it fell to the floor, with no general interest in following through" Sounded to me like neither side of the isle really cared. So if nothing else the silly bastard will be famous as the president who broke Americas back and the checks and balance system failed to even attempt to stop him all the way down to the sheeple.

One more coffee and 2 hours til free breakfast! Gotta roll, wi-fi is cool.....50

Pretty accurate assessemnt of the America-hating leader we have in the White House. I remember him lamenting the limitations the constitution places on office holders. We really shouldn't be surprised by ANYTHING this man tries at this point. He isn't stupid, and he KNOWS his political future is in deep trouble, I shudder to think what other "great" ideas he wil shove down our throats while by-passing congress and trampling the constitution.

Obama is the most underhanded president the US has every had and to think he campaigned on having a transparent presidency. I'm in a hurry also, to see his presidency end.

See you at the inn.

With Obama Pop, it is always the same thing. It has been way over due for the "repeat" button to be clicked off. I still can't believe that he has supporters. We are worse off now then any single during Bush's 8 years. I agree with Sheri. He knows he is in deep. This is exactly why he is trying to push and rush every blunt lifeless idea in his head. Revise the rules on running and let's put Bill Clinton back in office! Better yet, his wife. He has took all our mining permits in West Virginia and has costed a well prepared state dearly. Our unemployment was in the 4% range during the Bush Administration. Now, it is near 9%. He has costed many good men and women good paying jobs that are now rare here in WV.

Dear Lost Dutchman,

It is hard to accept the fact that this president gets away with trashing the Constitution and circumventing Congress. No one is protecting our interests. Way too much apathy out there to suit me. See you at the Inn.

Where is the outrage from this pathetic Congress? Are they asleep? See you at the Inn, Sheri. We need to catch up.

Dear Pamela,

Obama has brought all of his community activist skills to Washington where they only serve to muddy the waters and undermine our nation. I cannot believe this is happening. Where is Congress? See you at the Inn.

Obama is behaving like a junior high school kid running for president. You know, a soda machine in every room! See you at the Inn.

I think repeating the mistake of lending money to folks that really cannot afford to pay it back and may never afford to do so is an even bigger mistake. I can't grasp the possibility that it is a purposeful undermining of economy, but one must consider that.

In other news, our city refused to issue permits for any tent cities in our many parks near the statehouse - all must be gone by sundown or 11pm, no exceptions for Wall Street protesters, preachers, or T-party speakers, any of the above.

In nightmares, I see where bake sales are now forbidden in schools because they do not meet the new federal nutrition guidelines for school hours. May they stand across the street? How about granola bars??

Poppity pop! But breakfast is always good at the Inn and Pop's house.

The best way to shove something through is to claim it can't wait. That's how the bailouts, the stimulus, and Obamacare were sold.

Dear Will,

And now it's student loan forgiveness after 20 years. We get to put a zillion kids through college. I am outraged. My daughter and son-in-law paid off $250,000 in student loans. Is this fair? I am outraged.

pops,

according to Alinsky, is first to bring folks to the "realization" that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of unresponsive governments or greedy corporations, then help them to bond together to demand what they deserve, and to make such an almighty stink that the dastardly governments and corporations will see imminent "self-interest" in granting whatever it is that will cause the harassment to cease.

Sound familiar?

bp - Here is some important news I learned of today: the per person Medicare insurance premium will increase from the present monthly fee of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2012; $120.20 in 2013; and $247.00 in 2014.

These provisions are incorporated in the Obamacare legislation, purposely DELAYED so as not to 'confuse' the 2012 re-election campaign. iS THAT THE HEIGHT OF SNEAKY OR WHAT?

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop Hub Author 7 months ago

Good morning drbj,

Look up Obama in the dictionary and it reads, "the height of sneaky". Yes, the premiums will rise and payment to the doctors will fall. The end result is that it will be very difficult for seniors to find a doctor and get care.

Some GP/Family Practice doctors already have been refusing to accept senior citizens as patients for about 5 years now in my part of Ohio. It may get worse.

Dear Patty,

I expect it is going to get much, much worse. Getting in to see a specialist will be next to impossible.
