A Cinnamon Smoothie and a Resignation

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, January 9, 2012. President Obama has managed to trample the Constitution and nullify Congress. Let's prepare a breakfast this morning that will go down more easily than what the president is doing. We are making a Cinnamon Smoothie and you will need 2 bananas, 1 cup frozen raspberries, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup orange juice, 1 teaspoon vanilla, cinnamon to taste, 1 teaspoon maple syrup and 2 or 3 ice cubes.
Put all ingredients into a blender, adding ice last, and blend until smooth. That's it, you're done. Now take a copy of the Constitution, place it in your blender and pulse until destroyed. I feel a letter coming on.
To the People of the United States,
As your president I feel it is my duty to protect you from a do nothing Congress and get this nation moving again. The evil Republicans are trying to bring progress to a halt and so I have decided that I don't need them anymore. I promised you change and change you are going to get. I am asking all the Republicans and any Democrats who don't agree with me to tender their resignations, effective immediately. Of course, I can choose to continue to completely ignore all of you, but I would prefer that you packed your bags and went home to your respective states. I do not appreciate your interference in my plans. I do not appreciate or welcome your input. I have no use, whatsoever, for your opinions. I am bored to death with all your talk about the Constitution this, the Constitution that. It is an old irrelevant piece of paper that keeps getting in the way of all that I hope to accomplish. You are all getting in the way as well and honestly, if I could put you all in a blender so that you emerged in the image of Saul Alinsky, I would be a happy man.
My latest move of appointing Richard Cordray to serve as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was brilliant. Don't waste my time trying to tell me that under Article II, section 2, clause 2 of the Constitution, I only have the power to fill vacancies that may happen while the Senate is in recess. Don't tell me again, that the Senate was, in fact, in session. I simply don't care. I have no intention of waiting for Congress to act. I don't need them and therefore I demand their resignation now.
I am also tickled pink with my appointment of three new people to the National Labor Relations Board, again without Senate approval. I do not care to seek their approval. It is the unions I care to please. I don't care if I am labeled a tyrant or a despot. I came into power to exercise my authority and that is what I intend to do.
I formally put every member in Congress on notice. Stay out of my way. If you can't, resign and leave Congress. I am taking over. Hand me the keys to Washington and sit back in silence. I don't want to have to repeat myself. Is that clear?...POP...

I guess you have nothing to say about extremist tea party members who got elected to obstruct the president's initiatives rather than work to benefit the American people. They should be charged with treason, especially when one says he got elected to stop the president from getting anything done. Get real.

As for Tea Party Extremists..well if you mean people who want to pass a balanced budget, people who want us to only spend what we can afford, people who want to preserve our nation, people who respect the Constitution and the need for limited government, well then you are correct, all I have to say is Bravo!

POP: The president has done more than just appoint someone while the Senate was in recess, he appointed Cordray after the Senate voted NO in December. That is even more bold! He is ingoring everything our country is based on. He needs to be impeached. But what really gets to me is that Congress does nothing. Obama is not a leader, but Congress is doing nothing about his actions.
I need to get to the bar early, save me a seat....
tmcurtis - Browse on over and read about the party that no one seemed to know about until recently. The TPM finds such conduct objectionable and we did strive to rein in Obama's excesses with our tax dollars. That was only round 1 BTW.

I agree, where is the outcry? It should be loud and strong, but so far I think it's only a whimper. The only voice I am hearing is Pelosi's who has said he thinks it's great for Obama to ignore Congress and call them out. Of course, she is only talking about Republicans. See you at the bar Pino. Obama has taken over the Legislative Branch and nobody gives a damn. He has violated the Constitution and nobody gives a damn. It's about time you opened the doors to the diner. I've been standing outside freezing my froggy behind off (yes, we have behinds) while having to sniff the aroma of cinnamon as you dilly-dally around in the morning.
Obama is trying to pull a fast one. He knew before the Senate went into pro forma session that Cordray was a DOA in the Senate to be confirmed and that that body of do nothings was going to do nothing about confirming this union hack.
He waited until two days before the Xmas break to submit the 3 names for the NLRB positions because he didn't want those union hacks to be scrutinized. He made his moves purposefully with timing in mind. The Senate wasn't buying it and went into pro forma.
Now a Democrat will scream foul. You knew that was coming but they suffer from having a short memory span. Many of them are the same ones who made sure Bush couldn't do the end around by doing the very same thing.
Obama needs to be impeached.
But while I was waiting I was munching on a brownie or two. LMAO
