A Custard Apple Smoothie on a School Day

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, August 31, 2011. School is in session this morning. We will be focusing on "Government by Regulation" so it promises to be a most informative session. Get your breakfast boxes ready. This morning we will be preparing Custard Apple Smoothies. You will need 1 custard apple, which is also called a bullock's heart or bull's heart. If you can't find one, forget the recipe and mix yourself a Bloody Mary, complete with celery, olives and a large shrimp. If you care to continue with the recipe you will also need 5 medium strawberries, 1 mango, 1 teaspoon wheat germ, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 6 scoops vanilla ice cream and 5 friends who like custard apples.
Cut up your custard apple and remove the little things inside. Cut up your strawberries and mangos too and add to a blender. Add lemon juice, wheat germ and ice cream and blend until smooth. Pour breakfast into your thermos and head for class. See you in a few.
Good morning students. This morning we will be learning how to govern by regulation. We all know that we have people in Congress who are supposed to represent the very public who placed them in Washington in the first place. The democratic process when done correctly can be very laborious so there will be times when it is advantageous to bypass Congress entirely.
The best way to get things done is to do so by instituting rules and regulations and the Congress and the people be damned. In order to do so without incurring the electorate's wrath, tell them that you intend to pour through all those pesky regulations that cripple business and get rid of lots of them. Keep your promise but do not go overboard. Just look at the present administration and learn from them. Although President Obama said he would free up business and get rid of regulations that stifle job creation he really accomplished very little. Nevertheless, do as he did. Announce that your exhaustive efforts will save business $1 billion over a five year period. Ignore and play down the fact that the Small Business Administration calculated that compliance with federal regulation costs $1.75 trillion annually.
Watch the Obama administration and learn how to govern by fiat. Since being in office President Obama introduced 75 new regulations costing about $40 billion. But wait, there's more. There are many, many, many new regulations yet to come. We are talking well over 4,000 new rules.
The essential point about today's lesson is to say one thing and do another. Be utterly transparent about your intention to cut regulations and be entirely secretive while you heap thousands of new rules upon an already beleaguered nation...Class dismissed...POP...

I agree, politicians are the scourge of the earth. There are a couple of exceptions of course but for the most part we would be better off without them. Apparently, Obama feels the same way considering how many times he has bypassed Congress! See you at the Inn.

Obama has worked saying one thing while doing another behind the people's backs into a fine art. It's the old phrase of lying -- when his lips are moving. Tragic consequences for our country lie ahead if this man gets re-elected.

Right before my friend passed away, he felt that the country was going to disolve in riots and military rule, so he planned to buy land, put up a large pole building, plant a razor-wired stockade around it and move his family and friends into the compound. He'd already purchsed most of what he needed to do this.

Awake, Americans, from your Apathy! Our country is slowly going down the tubes. Our leader proclaims and decrees on his own and Congress seems to be duped or is it doped? Hard to tell the difference.
Obama is currently bypassing Congress by going ahead with the rejected Cap and Trade Act and The Dream Act, using executive orders to employ both!
The president is supposed to enforce laws passed by Congress, but this one is bypassing Congress by enforcing laws they rejected!
I think it's time for Congress to consider impeaching President Barack Hussein Obama.

Maybe some of the "regulatory" processes of the Constitution need to be enforced...like being born in the country and a U.S. Citizen prior to holding elected office as President. When one is willing to ignore those requirements, the rest of the stuff is easy. WB

I couldn't stop at just one smoothie...now I have a brain freeze. LOL! Interesting topic this morning. I was just reading a headline somewhere, where a law or regulation was being passed to regulate the types of food we are allowed to eat. The person writing this interesting bit was stating that they felt it was against their constitutional rights of freedom to have to be treated like children. My thought is what is next...the type of garden we are allowed to grow? Oh wait...I remember reading that some people in power want to outlaw that too. Great hub! POP- Thank you for your terrific insights! We are ruled by regulation and its the perfect way to pass unpopular agenda thru by stealth. The regulatory state must be severly curtailed if we want to return to being a self-governing poeple.
Regulations is what killed the European economies and stripped thier economic freedoms, now its threatening American freedom as it was before our nations founding.

POP - and if you write the regs you can also choose whether to enforce them or not too. Want Spanish vote don't enforce the immigration rules, want more revenue without raising "taxes"? Write new rules. Oh yea don't worry about the economy recovering its a chance to create a whole new dependency on gov programs.
