A Tangerine Mimosa and the PIP-POP Awards
62You Win!
Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, January 31, 2012. It is time for the 66th weekly presentation of the much coveted PIP-POP Awards. Today's breakfast menu calls for the preparation of Tangerine Mimosas. You will need 1 750 ml bottle of dry Champagne, 10 tablespoons Grand Marnier, 2 and 1/2 cups fresh tangerine juice and tangerine wedges for garnish. Divide the Champagne equally among ten glasses. Add 1 tablespoon orange liqueur to each glass. Top each with 1/4 cup juice and garnish with your tangerine wedge. Call Fed Ex to have them deliver the drinks to the theater, don your best attire and we'll meet in a little while.
Welcome everyone. I see that you and your drinks made it here on time so without further adieu let's dim the lights and start the show. Please join me in welcoming back New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to the stage. Gov. Christie the people of New Jersey appreciate your candor when you discussed property taxes in the state. You agreed that they need to be lowered but you refused to simply lower them by raising another tax. Instead your idea was quite simple. You said that we had to spend less. Spend less and taxes could come down and the reduction would be real. It takes courage to tell the truth. It is refreshing to hear someone take a common sense approach to a problem. Please accept this PIP with our congratulations.
Our second award of the morning is being presented to the entire mainstream media. The award will be presented and then mailed to the recipients because they all refused to attend. It seems that you all got together and decided to completely ignore the first court proceeding to enter into the record evidence that Pres. Obama is ineligible to be president based upon the Constitution's requirement that the office be occupied only "by a natural born citizen". Apparently this court action taking place in Georgia does not meet the standards of "news" and therefore the public has no need to know about it. The president's lawyers are emulating your behavior because they have chosen to ignore the subpoena and not participate in the proceedings. Mmmmm....
On a brighter note, let us welcome Boston Bruins goal tender Tim Thomas to the stage. We have a PIP with your name on it because you had the courage to refuse an invitation to the White House because of your belief that the federal government has grown out of control threatening the lives, liberty and property of the people in direct opposition to the Constitution. You, sir, have the courage of your convictions and you are a patriot.
Our fourth award of the morning is a POP bearing the name of the New York Times on it. Your newspaper had the poor taste to actually quote retired Cuban leader Fidel Casto on the "idiocy of the GOP field". Your publication is so out of touch with the American people that you actually believe we care what a dictator has to say about the Republican primary candidates? What's next, a weekly column written by Chavez?
Let's conclude the show by once again welcoming back Rep. Alan West. This PIP has your name engraved on it for having the courage to essentially suggest that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Pres. Obama get out of the country. You told them to take their message of equality of achievement, of economic dependency and the enslavement of the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. Perhaps Europe would be a great destination or as you suggested even the bottom of the sea. Speaking strictly for myself, sir, when you speak I feel like dancing!
The show is over and it is time to say good-bye until next week. Let's raise our ten Tangerine Mimosas on high and toast all the "winners". PIP-PIP HOORAY...POP GOES THE WEASELS...

Christie tells it like it is. No other politician has the guts to do that. The lame stream media is in bed with the democraps. Why don't they report how he came out of nowhere to be president? Why hasn't anyone come forward who went to college with him? No ex girl friends? No wonder why the lame stream mediaq is silent. There has to be a conspiracy. I wouldn't line the bottom of a bird cage with the NY Times. And Alan West tells it like it is as well. I am off to the bar for more mimosas. BARTENDER...........
POP: Glad I dressed up for this ceremony, as it was great, once again. As for the POP's, the one for the MSM should also include the DNC, as they ignored the phrase in the constitution of "Natural Born" citizen, and only used citizen when defining if Obama was eligible. I researched the court proceedings, and they are very interesting. Once this judge rules, the MSM will be hard pressed to ignore this. I just hope he is not threatened. the NYT is another one who has almost as many POPs as Obama - What does a retired dictator know about the Republican party? Apparently as much as the NYT! AS for the PIPs, Alan West, Tim Thomas and Chris Christie are my heros. There are very few people who will stand up for their beliefs, but here are three. I have chug-a-lugged my ten mimosas to them.
Now, I'm off to the bar - Save me a seat......
BPOP - Christie gets it. It is really rather simple. If you don't have the money - DON'T SPEND IT!
Good for the judge in Georgia. Of course the Lame Stream Media won't report on this. Having read what happenedin that courtroom that day, the FACTS are the FACTS and the experts that testified spoke to the FACTS. We obviously can't expect the liberal media to start reporting FACTS.
I reckon I'll become a Bruins fan now. Some one in sports with a set of balls besides Tim Tebow.
Does anyone wonder why the NY Times has a declining readership?
All the riff raff West spoke of need to "Get the hell out of The United States of America." This isn't a socialist country and we're tired of them wanting it to become one.
Nice ceremony BTW.

PS - I just read this about the eligibility issue. Thought folks might want to see how fire spreads.

Little Sister With Giant Brain,
I enthusiastically offer a toast to each of these awards, but then you had to do it, didn't you? Sis, you know that every time you mention the name Nancy Pelosi, I lose the ability to perform sex for 2 to 3 weeks. In the future, please just refer to her as the menopalistic bitch from wine country. For some reason it doesn't give me the same mental image as when you say her name.
Up, awesome, and groovy!
Jim
Here here great awards as usual!!! The elegibility issue- wouldn't it be great to get Obama out of office and the race if that were proven! And had the media vetted him as they enthusiastically vet the republicans we might not be tettering on the brink of disaster.
Ya gotta love Allen West!
Thank You Breakfastpops for Rewarding Gov. Christie with a well deserved Pip...He's the man. And Hooray To Tim Thomas for his.
I've been away, and missed coming here, but came running over, if only for a little while to catch up, before I get back to working on that Condo! Hope you'll stop by me, for a Hub visit too.
Christie and West together on the ballot. What a ticket that would be, bp.
I love the Allen West and Tim Thomas PIP awards! Somebody needs to stand up and tell it like it is and these men did. The POP's were expertly chosen as well.
Good for Tim Thomas - so many people lack the courage of their convictions. Enjoyed your awards and the mimosa was good too.
The PIP Awards certainly had some bright stars this week, Poppy. Chris Christy needs to drop by the Congress and teach them how reductions in spending can yield positive downstream effects. What a shame that what Castro thinks about the Republican cast is newsworthy but the proceedings against Obama in Georgia is not. Let's not embarass the president by asking for proof of anything...that would not be politically correct now would it? Thanks much! WB
Truly a great blog. Such well deserved Pips and Pops. I can't wait to read those Chavez columns on my new i-phone

Pop,
Great POP awards to deserving "winners". I thought Chavez already wrote half of Krugman's colums to be published under Krugman's name.
It's scary to think that Gov. Christy doesn't consider himself ready to be President. It would be interesting to hear his unvarnished opinion of the current occupant of the Oval Office.
