Applesauce French Toast and the Observer

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Thursday, August 25, 2011. Scotty, the Observer, is losing patience with the Obama administration. They say one thing and do another and he has had it! He has asked me to invite you all to my place for breakfast and a chat. You supply the breakfast and Scotty will supply the chat.

This morning Scotty craves french toast, apple french toast to be exact. For three servings you will need 2 eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 1/4 cup applesauce and 6 slices of bread.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar and applesauce and mix well.

Soak bread until saturated with the mixture. Grease a skillet or griddle and cook toast until lightly browned on both sides. Wrap up the toast and head for my house. Scotty and I will greet you at the door. Scotty wil relieve you of your toast and I will hand you some expresso vodka! See you in a few.

Welcome my dear earthling family. Are you aware that your President Obama has made a habit of bypassing federal law by allowing millions of barrels of oil from federal stockpiles to be transported on foreign owned vessels? The oil was being transported from your stockpiles to make up for the shortfall of oil caused by the Libyan conflict.

Your domestic ship owners are enraged and you should be too. The Obama Administration has waived the Jones Act 46 times this summer alone. The Jones Act is a 90 year old law that requires domestic cargo to move on U.S. ships. Oil has been shipped on your vessels only one time this summer. In light of your miserably high rate of unemployment why in the world would your president allow your oil to be carried on foreign ships with foreign crews?

The president is permitted to waive the law if it is deemed that here is a national emergency. Technically, the administration followed the law, but in reality this Observer feels they went around it to the detriment of the people of your nation. The administration will tell you that your nation doesn't have tankers large enough to ship the oil. The shipping industry believes they could have handled the job.

The hypocrisy of this situation is maddening. Your President Obama runs around the country talking about job creation. He tells you that job creation is the first thing he thinks about in the morning and the last thing he thinks about before he goes to bed. My question to your president is this. Jobs for who?...NA, NU, NA, NU...SCOTTY...NU, NA,, NU, NA...POP...
