Banana Bread and the Truth

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, December 14, 2011. President Obama has finally revealed the truth and his comments leave very little room for misinterpretation. Prof. Stopthebull is anxious to see us all in class this morning. He is extremely anxious to discuss our future under this president. Let's prepare some Banana Bread for breakfast and head for the lecture hall.
You will need 3/4 cup shortening, 1 cup sugar, 2 large eggs-lightly beaten, 2 cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 large bananas-the riper the better, and 3/4 cup chopped walnuts.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly sprinkle flour in a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, cream shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs.
In another bowl, sift the dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture. Mash the bananas well and add to the batter along with the walnuts. Expect the batter to be thick.
Spoon batter into the pan and bake for 1 hour or until brown on the top. Let cool and allow to cool in refrigerator for a bit for easier slicing. Pack up your breakfast box and fill your thermos with Irish coffee. See you in class.
Welcome students. The cat is out of the bag, the horse has left the barn, Pandora's box has opened and finally, finally, finally President Obama has revealed himself to the nation. After three long tedious years of the right calling the president a socialist and the left calling the right insane, the president has cleared things up.
President Obama gave a speech in Osawatomie, Kansas last week and finally he told all of us that free enterprise and American capitalism just don't work. He stressed the fact, his fact, that capitalism is a theory that has never worked. If you don't feel sick to your stomach right about now, then perhaps you would be happier in Venezuela. Apparently he is adverse to individual achievement because it creates an unwarranted skepticism towards the benefits of government.
Finally, we know for sure where he stands and he stands alongside Marx and Lenin. This is no longer up for discussion. He has admitted it. Where is the media on this one? Where is the outrage? Where is the shock that should be spreading through the country?
We, the people of the United States of America, elected a president who hates our system and our ideals. He thinks we are greedy and evil and free enterprise just doesn't work for him and according to him, it has never worked. This from a man who is supposed to be the most powerful person in the world.
Many people have been talking about President Obama's affiliations with communists and socialists for the last three years. The media has chosen to ignore or ridicule those concerns, but they are real and they are vitally important. We have a president who doesn't believe in our system and this is the kind of change he has been talking about since day one. Our system isn't perfect but it is the best in the world. God help us if President Obama wins re-election. He will let down all his pretenses and go in for the kill. We will never again be able to say that we live in the greatest nation in the world. Our children and grandchildren will never know what it is like to live in a free society that allows for the privilege of individual ownership of property and the means of production. Please go to the polls in 2012 and save our nation. Never has your vote been more important. God Bless America...POP...

His speech sickened me. Don't try to read it on a full stomach. Obama tried very hard to pepper his administration with socialists. Remember Van Jones and Duncan. Our nation had better wake up from its collective sleep and vote him out! See you later at the Inn.
Not enough people have realized this for the past 3 years. I think the other day he was quoted as saying there should be equal achievement for everyone. No, you jerk. There should be equal opportunity for everyone. We are doomed if we don't get rid of him in 2012. His campaign people are already out there. The unions, the occupiers and the money he has raised. Good morning, breakfastpop! Well the media didn't trumpet this because the majority are all socialists any way and think like Obama, so for them it's the attitude of nothing new here let's move on. So glad for conservative media.
POP: I just read his entire speech - sickening! Why don't the people who are listening say something - Anything! taxlarry is right - we have equal opportunity, not equal achievement. The generational welfare recipients don't want to be put to work. That was our first mistake. I'm not saying that some people didn't need welfare, but to get it, the requirement should have been to be trained to do some type of work that would eliminate you from being a welfare recipient.
I don't want to see our great country become socialist. What these welfare recipients don't know is that they will not be getting more - only the government will get reicher when they take from the rich. They will not be giving raises to these recipients!

Karl Marx, Saul Alinski or Reverend Jeremiah Wright couldn’t have said it any better than the leader of this Regime; they like their prized pupil believe that free enterprise and American capitalism just don't work. He truly believes this and apparently so do the millions that willingly or unwillingly climbed aboard his Trojan Horse and snuck into the Gates of America waiting until firmly entrenched in power to reveal their true intentions; the burning of America!
A for the media they are where they always been; firmly entrenched in his camp helping him disseminate his Anti American Message. We, the people of the United States did not elected this man; they the dazed, dazzled and confused did so as they were led to the cliff by his melodious pipe all the while being told what a savior he was by the media! Well the Rats that elected him along with We the People are all going over the cliff together; the sad part is the Rats won’t realize it until they splatter alongside us on the rocks below!
All of his radical associations have indeed been ignored or protected by the media as the manifestations of the Radical Right and nothing to be concerned about. Such is the way all Socialists gain power; no one willingly votes for Enslavement of Servitude. In order for these Regimes to gain control they must be cloaked in ambiguity and misconception. Only after they are firmly in power will they reveal themselves; then it’s too late. The real damage has been done on the electorate that has been adequately brainwashed to believe him and will vote to re-elect him!
All previous Democracies have existed for 200-250 years; America is approaching its 236 year and will indeed collapse if this Regime is given 4 more years; it may as well be given in perpetuity!!!!!!!!

BPOP - Me thinks that Obama never attended Professor Stopthebull's classes in his life. He's been shoveling the BS at the American public for over 3 years now. Then people want to say he isn't a socialist. Every socialist in the world believes in capitalism and the free market system. Right?
Hmm, I am going to have to check in with the hubby on his thoughts on this. One things is for sure, I don't think he wants to rile to many of the Rednecks of the nation and expect them to stand by. I will have to go read his speach. I was too busy reading the headlines of a man that was arrested for threatening the speach while it was going on.

Now that Obummy has revealed himself to be the radical Socialist we all knew he was, will the mainstream media start reporting objectively? Probably not. No one wants to admit stupidity.
He is what he is. Both his father and mother were leftists, as was his grandfather. He has surrounded himself with far-leftists all his life, so why are we surprised?

I read the transcript of the speech. I cannot listen to this man speak any more. I just can't stomach the sound of his voice. It is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
The liberals of today are not just the liberals of the 60s and 70s. They are outright anti-American and make no bones about it. It's disgusting.
I think this is indeed the most important election that our country has ever experienced.

When we go to the polls, can you assure there will be some one worthy of our vote, of course not! I tend to feel that President Obama is the least damaging than the other contestants. He has haggled a great deal to have more Americans have access to health care, resulting in negative compromising to opponents for their desires, ligitimate or not. By the way socialism is not communism in my book: socialism is caring and sharing, while communist are no different from the 1% of our commercial controllers within our country. Occupy Wall Street should consider using some lyrics of a song: 'something from nothing is nothing,you got to have something to set you free...'

You are definitely not preaching to the choir. Another 4 years of his brand of non-leadership will set us back 200 years. Socialism doesn't work. It weakens a nation and robs citizens of the will to succeed. It destroys creative thinking and produces nothing but people with their hand out. Free enterprise, capitalism and small government are the recipe for success and always have been. Occupy Wall Street should look into who is pulling their pathetic strings. I believe they will see the billionaire Soros through the window.

Is your idea of socialism as equal to communism? I think of socialism as mutual respect despite differences. Yes we all have to be responsible for our selves but, we also should make an effort to get someone on the right track for the common good. I have personaly met people of rich and poor, both as negative or positive depending on their growth environment.

Well put and insightful analysis. I think Glenn Beck was on the right track when he pointed out the large number of Obama acolytes who praised Mao. Russia/The Soviet Union Union proved Marxism's flaws but the mixed nature of Maoism is flourishing under the Chinese masters....................for now.
We must keep the flame of democratic republicanism alive and flourishing!!!!!!
