Banana Split Pancakes and the Blame Game
59Let's Play!
Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, August 10, 2011. It's show time this morning and I hope you are all ready to play "The Blame Game". Let's prepare some Banana Split Pancakes for breakfast and then head for the studio. You will need 2 cups of Bisquick baking mix, 1 and 1/2 cups milk, 1/4 cup chocolate syrup, 1 egg, 1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips, 2 medium sliced bananas, 2 cups sliced strawberries, whipped topping, chopped nuts, and a maraschino cherry.
Heat your skillet and grease it if necessary. Stir together baking mix, milk, 1/4 cup chocolate syrup and egg. Now stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into skillet in 1/4 cup spoonfuls. Cook until edges are bubbly. Turn and cook until golden brown. Serve with bananas, strawberries, whipped topping, nuts, syrup and maraschino cherries. Carry your breakfast to the television studio. "The Blame Game" is about to debut.
Welcome everyone to the premier of America's new show, "The Blame Game". Let me introduce the contestants. On team number one, we have Maureen Dowd, from the New York Times, MSNBC's Chris Tingly Leg Matthews, ABC's Cokie Roberts, President Barack Obama, Sen. John Kerry, the proud Democrat from the great state of Massachusetts and Sen. Tom Harkin the proud Democrat from the state of Iowa.
On team number two, we have the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny and the RoadRunner. Let the show begin. As you know we start off with the lightening round. In fact, it is our only round so let's begin. Team number one has one second a piece to lay blame for our current economic situation on anyone but themselves.
We begin with Maureen Dowd. "Tea Partiers are Cannibal Vampires". Now to Chris Matthews. "Tea Partiers are southern secessionists who want to kill Obama... Politically.". Moving along to President Obama. " Democracy is to blame for our failures". Take it away Cokie. "The problem is the Constitution because it requires people to come together from different perspectives." Good one Cokie. Back to Chris Matthews. "I want my viewers to stand against the Tea Party members and their stay-stay-home blogging cheerleaders." Team One you have two seconds left. Take it away Sen. John Kerry ."This is the Tea Party Downgrade". Not believable, Senator, but nevertheless a good one. Let's end this round with Sen. Tom Harkin. " The Republican Party is a cult." Time's Up!!
Team two, your turn. The clock is ticking. Take it away Tooth Fairy. " Giving you people teeth is a complete waste of enamel". Your turn Santa Claus. "It's coal in your stockings forever and a day". Easter Bunny, to you. You're ugly and your mother dresses you funny." RoadRunner finish up as only you can. "Meep, Meep". Times up.
The studio audience will decide the team that walks away with "The Blamey". Audience press the buttons in front of you and pick a winning team.
The votes have been tallied. Team number one wins "The Blame Game" in a complete runaway victory. Congratulations team number one for proving once and for all that when you really don't have any answers to this nation's gripping problems, just point your fingers and lay the blame for this fiasco anywhere but where it belongs..in your lap...POP...

Pop,
Allowing professional blame gamers to compete is unfair competition but they arent good for anything else.
I think the fix was in. Team 2 had better looking and smarter members than team 1. The Road Runner summed everything up the best. It looks like the audience were socialists who voted members of Team 1 into office. I would think the blame game is the only thing they will win during the next year and a half. Go Road Runner! Let's see if you can beat me to the bar. MEEP! MEEP! BARTENDER..............
Its a shame that no one on the left takes responsibility for their actions any more. I see it from the lowest members of society, you can almost tell when someone is a liberal if the first thing out of their mouth is "It's not my fault someone else did it." Or wait is that describing a child? Perhaps those on the left are nothing but overgrown children.

Pop, and the whole world shakes, I gotta laugh right there the S&P/Vansustran show made that remark on the net yesterday,
whole thing is a frocking joke, mind games against those who fall for anything, keep it rolling and impeach the bum on top who can't find east at sunrise, barkeep!, 50
Good morning, Pop! It's such a shame the president and his playmates seem to enjoy playing this game like a bunch of kids. Can't someone tell him to stop as it is so un-presidential? Otherwise, he might as well not waste air time holding press conferences. We already know what to expect.
POP: Great show! I saw Valerie Jarrett backstage - she thought it was next Tuesday, and wanted to be early to accept her award.
Team No. 1 was great. How can they come up with these remarks so quickly? I hope they will be back to defend their win this week.
I'm going to the bar early. I heard that taxlarry is still spending with his newly increased debt ceiling. Do you think he's a DEM? Someone, please save me a seat....
Great write and some good comments. The time is right for those at the big house to step up to the plate. The old saying if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen applies. A helping of humble pie and truth serum are needed this man and his administration are an embarrassment to the ideals this country was founded. I can't believe he has not already been impeached.
BPOP - Just the sight of Kerry makes me want to slap the crap out of the guy. Friggin BX hero. They can cast all the aspersions on the Tea Party that they want to. The Dems always need a Boogie Man so I guess we're it.
There was one plan, in particular, that would have satisfied S&P and that was the Cut, Cap and Balance bill that was passed by the House and sent to the Senate where senile Reid tabled it. Why no debate? I know why and so does anyone else with a lick of common sense.
The Tea Party just showed its strength in Wisconsin. Are we going away? NOPE!
The Frog
Great hub and they have taken blame to a fine art. The comments already say everything I am thinking. See you at the inn.
Take me out to the Blame Game
The way they play it's a shame
There’s old Chris Mathews pee-ing on his leg
Harry and Nancy with their kool aid keg
So they’ll listen to old John Kerry’s scam
You know he served in Viet Nam
So we’ll kick that can down the lane
In the Old Blame Game
I would comment, but my mouth is full.
Sounds like team two is at a loss for words...amazing! WB
Morning POP...Let me see if I get this straight:
The smartest man in the world, backed up by the brilliant minds of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, was run aground by a bunch of old, broken-down, red-necked, uneducated, Bible-thumping, gun-toting, hillbilly Tea Partiers...Either the medias meme for these folks is wrong, or a Harvard degree isn't what it used to be.
Harry Truman had a sign on his desk that read " The buck stops here "...Obama also has a sign on his desk that reads " The buck stops over there "...
Accepting responsibility is the mark of a true leader...denying responsibility is the mark of a true moral relativist...Larry
Ha ha ha! Great show Pop and the message comes through loud and clear! And the pancakes are delicious!
Watch our for that RoadRunner, bp. MEEP! translated is Me Enjoys Eviscerating Politians! If only that were true!
Politics is a circus with the clowns in charge.
Wonderful breakfast!
The Blame Game doesn't sound like a very FAIR Game...the decks are stacked...Ooops, it's suppose to be that way? Oh, Ok, it's Fair! Very Funny Breakfastpops...Who's going to get rid of these Players...Conservatives, Tea Party to the Rescue! Great Pancakes!
Little Sister With Giant Brain.
Tripple AAA girl. This is the message I'm trying to beat into the American mind set. I'll keep it short. I hate it when some one turns a comment into their own hub. I'll just say you're smart and super classy, with an eye for the bulls eye. Good work my friend

Another delicious sounding recipe. I always enjoy your recipes, but i have to tell you i have gotten to the point that when i open your hubs, that is all i read. I cut, copy and past them so i can try them, and i enjoy them immensely. However, i can't read anymore hubs that only continue to add to the major problems of this country. And that is the incessant bashing of one side by the other. It has gotten to the point of sickening and i find it intolerable, by both sides, so i do not read those hubs who are so obviously one sided, prejudiced, and yes, extremely hateful to the point of ludicrous. I will continue to read your hubs because i love your recipes, but hub pages readers have disappointed me to the point of nausea, in this continuous spreading of hatred. Thanks for another wonderful recipe. Everything that is said by the right side about the left, in their hubs is repeated almost verbatim by the other side about them. Ad nauseum. (P.S., yes, i am a registered republican).
Thanks for commenting with your usual dignity and style. I did not mean to belittle either party, and i watch Fox news network, MSNBC and CNN to get a broader perspective of what is being said. I do not find that either party is more biased than the other, but i am burned out with all that hateful rhetoric from both sides. I am going to change to Independent also (from Rep) as i am ashamed of both parties at this time. However, i am kind of wary about changing at this time with the Governor (in Florida) trying so hard to suppress voting rights for anyone not Republican in this state. When will this ever end? I have got my eye of Charlie Crist (independent)(former Rep. gov. of Fla). He may just steal it from both of them. I think it would do this country good to have an independent president.
