Crunchy Toast and an Outrage
52Just Breathe...
Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, January 24, 2011. A few days ago, Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff, a federal district court judge in Michigan, dismissed a constitutional challenge to the government's bailout of AIG. This is a deeply disturbing and incredible turn of events that I want to share with you. We simply can't discuss this on an empty stomach, so let's prepare our morning meal. Today we will be whipping up some Crunchy Toast. You will need 4 tablespoons of cream cheese, 2 slices of bread, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons jam, 1/4 cup milk, corn flakes( crushed) and butter for frying. Place 4 tablespoons of cream cheese and 3 tablespoons of jam in between 2 slices of bread. Mix eggs and milk together. Dip sandwich in egg mixture and place in corn flakes, coating well on both sides. Fry in skillet until brown. Mix up a Bloody Mary, take a deep breath, dig into your sandwich and try to relax. I have a story to tell.
Kevin Murray, a Marine Corps veteran, initiated a constitutional challenge to the U.S. government's bailout of AIG. Why? AIG used over 100 million dollars of our money to support Islamic religious indoctrination through the funding and promotion of Sharia compliant financing. This financing strictly follows the dictates of Islamic Law. Just breathe....AIG's own website extolls the virtues of Sharia financing and to add insult to injury the company uses a foreign Islamic advisory board to control investing in accordance with Islamic law. Just breathe...Let me refresh your memory. Sharia law is a 1200 year old body of Islamic canon law based on the Koran which calls for the destruction of Western Civilization and the United States. Just breathe...The original lawsuit was filed in 2008 against Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. It challenged the use of taxpayer money to support the government's majority interest in AIG. The lawsuit contends that the use of taxpayer money to approve, promote and endorse Sharia based activities violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Soon after the complaint was filed, the Obama administration's DOJ asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit. The judge denied the request.
On January 14, 2011 the court reversed its earlier decision and ruled against Murray. The court found that $153 million in taxpayer money was insignificant and that despite tons of evidence the court did not believe that this money, our money, was spent in support of Islamic religious activities... If you can, just breathe...POP...

POP, This is outrageous. The $153 million isn't exactly chump change. I was always against AIG's bailout but didn't know they used Sharia law. How can this happen in the US and no one cares? There is no one to trust anymore. I hope Kevin Murray continues to fight this and takes it to a higher court. Thanks for giving us all the details.
Pop
The hits just keep on coming with this bunch; every time you think they’ve finally reach their pinnacle of absurdity; they come along with something like this and out absurd themselves.
Of course the absurd behavior has always been there they have just been able to hide it until someone like yourself comes along and shines the light of truth down into the sewer so for a brief moment in time the rats are illuminated!
This is truly what Krushchev meant when he said we will bury you without firing a shot; we just didn’t realize his instrument of destruction would be radical Islam!
Pop, another inch toward one world government. There is no out cry, no ones listening, very few care more than saying "well gee that sucks" there will be few letters to congress even with email people do nothing. They wear their asses for hats, and will wake up and wonder why they are in such a fix. I'm with Hammer the white brew today at the inn, 50
POP: This is very surprising to me, as AIG has a long list of Jewish CEO's( Maurice Greenberg to Robert Benmosche), Board Members (Henry Kissinger, was among them) and presidents.
I have read some of the articles on this subject; yet I still have trouble understanding that an international company would support sharia law when they are so top-heavy with Jewish management and CEO's etc.
While they have offices all over the world, AIG is not particularly concentrated in the mid-east.
I looked at the AIG website, and couldnot find where they discussed Sharia Law.
Anyway, I'm off to the bar. Someone save me a seat.....
sharia law compliant financing for what and where? This is probably the most shocking and absurd thing I have heard since the socialists took over. I am f'n outraged. I am also going to pass GO and head straight to the bar. BARWTENDER...........
Pop this is enough to make a preacher cuss and a fiddler to play a sad sad lament, I tuning up and will see you down at the inn.
Pop,
If someone wrote this stuff as the plot to a fiction novel it wouldn't pass the believablity test!!!!!!!!!
How many donuts do we need to bet as to whether they got to the judge...they got to him all right. This is America and we don't give a tinker's damn about Sharia Law and what they do with it somewhere else. If you need to live here and you require that you must do it under the umbrella of Sharia Law, then you need to pack up and get out. You really don't want to be a part of America if it comes with such prerequisites. Our government needs to gain that awareness before we throw away everything that the country was based on to start with. A nation built up with people who possess a totally different belief structure is not a nation at all...in the words of Lincoln, it is a house divide and it shall not stand. WB
Morning POP...I guess 153 million dollars is insignificant when compared to the trillions being distributed to everyone that has their hand out, including those that " are too big to fail "...What a load of crap...What does it take to get the courts attention..? I don't even know what comes after trillion...
At least the Tea Party is still energized re the constitutionally minded winners for political offices in New Hampshire, Washington state, and Arizona this last week...We need to stay focused until this nest of vipers is cleaned out in 2012...Murray, good Marine that he is, is taking the fight directly to those that oppose the will of the people; our own Justice Department....
See you at the tavern, POP...I'm a wine drinker also so I'll bring a case of Amon Ra, circa 1976, the year of our bi-centennial, and coincidentally, the finest vintage year of the century....Larry
POP, Oy. I thought that a two-hour exhaustive bedtime process for a toddler was stressful. I had a dream two night's ago that there was a new candidate in town from a brand new party, one who spoke of moderation, not ideologies, not scary agendas, but for America. Bringing America back to the great place it felt like it was when I was a kid. This person in my dream happened to be a woman, and she was rational, level-headed, smart and moderate, but she was loyal to her country, and spoke the language of bringing this country back to its place in the world as a great power, thriving with innovation, rich with development of great and useful things/services for the world, where corporate greed and scary socialist agendas found no home, where borders were secure, where we really found true viable sources of alternative energy, where our children, seniors, everyone felt safe and that it meant something good to be an American... and it was not about this vicious game of "even-ing up" the "Score"... I am sick of this. Everyday it feels less and less like the country I thought I lived in and more like a place I never wanted to be. What's even worse, is that when people speak up about it, with passion, they are called names, they are marginalized. But once again, I feel powerless. So other than commenting here, what the hell am I supposed to do?
jellio...Why don't you be that woman in your dream...? I'd vote for you...Larry
I am truly speechless.
Pop,
Again, a tidbit of which I was ignorant. I really don't know what to say about the disturbing facts you stated here. Thanks for pissing me off on a Monday, maybe? I still love you; gotta take the bad news with the good!!!
Pop, the sharia law, should be on the radar for the womens rights groups, the first thing it will do is knock womens rights back to the stone age, think about that! If the media let out word for word, actions by action sharia law I think all hell would break loose in the streets, 50
This is why the Tea Party rose up all on its own. It is now the government of the government and for the government and we the people, must take it back.
Our own sleazy John McCain, who ran to the right to get reelected, is now drifting back to the left again. He thinks Congress should not be seated according to party for the State of the Union address because the huge shift to Republicans might embarrass Obama!
We need to clean house!
POP, this literally sent shivers down my spine. WHY is NO ONE doing something about this? WHY are our people in Washington standing on higher ground? I don't want to be stoned to death. Why don't we as a group on HUBPAGES send this to Fox News? All we need is ONE reporter to announce this on national tv and then watch Washington scatter. I am appalled.
I think I need something stronger than wine. The hooch sounds more like what we need.
See ya at the inn, I'll bring you my electric blanket.
bp - Where can I learn all the details about that federal district court judge's decision so I can forward them to my local TV news stations?
Hm. The true meaning of the AIG acronym, then, is apparently the All Islamic Group?
And to think, Zatkoff was a Reagan appointee....
Gotta go. The breakfast was great, but I'm about to lose it anyway....
....well I am a little later this morning so maybe we better call it 'brunch' .....single eccentric people have odd hours and I am also a night shift worker - but I love your ability to get your readers involved through your commentary and their interaction - and that is what communication is all about - and you are an excellent communicator, moderator and thinker - plus you fill our stomachs and (minds) with food for thought - and the thought of food!
Thank you for continuing through this writing to tell me to breathe. Everyones heart I am sure stopped once or twice through this. We are all on breathing tanks at this point. As for the reversal of the decision....well, let me say this, I refuse to comment in a public place, but will meet you at the bar later. Thank you for this hub.
Thanks so much for the crunchy toast! I don't think I could have digested your article on an empty stomach! This kind of news both scares and saddens me. But I appreciate you letting me know about it.
You might want to read the news story at the link I'm below. (Another tale of our "justice system" at work!)

Write on!
After reading the writing above, I discovered more news which put off my trip to the bar a bit. My profile holds the fruits of my discovery. And you may elaborate on this as only you are able breakfastpop. By the way, breakfast was mahvelous today.....my digestive tract has become very strong this past few years. As it has now totally digested, I am on the way to the inn to see what more news I may glean.....
Hopefully...their arrogance in the end will be their ruin. I didn't know about this but I wasn't surprised....that disturbs me. If we don't remove these monsters from power...they will remove us from freedom.
America is being erased.
ah just this....the "o care" is not legal, 8 states are fighting it and I fear succession from the union is at hand see details near the bubble bath....LOL rofl You are causing me to write in code. LOL its all in the hub...if they didn't have these silly rules in here, I wouldn't be tempted to break them...but as I like writing I try my hardest. Discovering that along with all the other amendments to the Constitution which have been violated is bad enough...but the 10th....Here is where the people strike back...Is anyone left standing in the bar strong enough to throw another punch????
breakfastpop, it certainly wasn't YOU that gave me indigestion! No, no! It is the mess we're all in! (You did good!)
BreakfastPop- I cannot begin to tell you how much I love your hubs! I don't have TV right now, and no radio, but I can find everything I need to begin researching what's going on, right here with you in the morning.
I know there have been a few states trying to pass laws stating that Sharia law won't stand up in their courts. I'm not sure how they've faired, but it's a sad day when you have to pass a law like that! I have to wonder if the Sharia law creeping into our system doesn't have something to do with all this money being funneled to God knows where!
Thanks for helping to connect the dots. The picture isn't pretty. I'm breathing now.
A day late for breakfast and the toast is cold, and I find myself wanting more information. I know zero of Sharia law, only that is a reference to a set of laws that are closely associated with religious practice.
So, What is meant by "Sharia compliant financing"? If looked at without the label, is it a sound financial practice? Are there other financial practices associated with other religions? If so, is our government funding those practices in some way also?
As much as anything, I'd fear our government stepping in and somehow undercutting competition associated with financing. Is that a baseless fear?
$153 million would help out many struggling schools. What a sad commentary.
Good Morning Pop, I can't breath, sent help now! Um now what would I do if I wanted to run the entire world, shoot that's easy, follow the rule book of OBAMA...it's that easy, say one thing and do another, heck your preident, do whatever you want. I want to move to Boa Boa, and leave the world to the A-hole people. Big warnings are showing up, and all we do is complain, what should we do POP my dear friend?
I was looking at their website and couldn't find the reference. Can you send me the link, I am known to be a little blind on these things.
Keep on hubbing!
Thanks Pop,
I got the part about Sharia law being the law of Islamic or Muslim nations, but I don't understand the details. The part I don't undertsand is what the law says about financial practice. What am I missing?
And while I'm stuck pondering that particular tree (Sharia compliant financing) , I do have to agree that this particular forest (Sharia Law) shouldn't grow here in the U.S. We have our own laws.
Good hub. I not only found your recipe interesting, i also liked you comments. You sound way too much like me. I agree with your sentiments. AIG and the rest of those huge conglomerates should have been allowed to sink or swim. Nothing should be too big to fail. This kind of monopoly is not competitave business, it is greed incarnate. And although it is true that this country embraces freedom of religion, there needs to be someone in washington that actually knows how to assess the threats toward this country from within our borders. Mr. Obama was correct in his state of the union address last night in regards to their being a half dozen different agencies doing the same thing and each one not knowing what the other is doing. Get rid of 99% of them and create one that has the intelligence and wisdom to look at all those (foriegn) (alien) entities within this country that can make an assessment as to their true intentions, that is not based on how much money they are willing to pay that agency to look the other direction. And don't for one minute think that the Islamic community is the only one that needs to have a closer look taken at them.
nice like it....
I'm will jellio - OY!!!!!!! We DO need to take our country back from this maddness! I MUST stop! This simply infuriates me!
But we must remained informed and your Hub is the go-to place for current events Pop! Thank you for your public service!

Well POP - one more reason we shouldn't trust either party any farther than we can throw them. The Bank Bailouts (including AIG) were a Bush initiative and were probably the only "bi-partisan" thing done during his second term. We have to keep our eyes on this stuff when it's happening. See ya at the inn, hoping 50 shows up with his Blue Jug hooch gonna need something stronger than cuervo gold today.
