Maple Apple Oatmeal and a Fairy Tale
59How Could You!
Good morning beloved breakfastpoppers. Today is Fairy Tale Friday, January 20, in the year of our kingdom 2012. I am absolutely livid. King Teleprompter has sabotaged my family's vacation and I can't stop crying. Please join me for breakfast beside the River of Lost Dreams and hear my tale of woe.
This morn we will be preparing Maple Apple Oatmeal. You will need 3 cups of apple juice, 1 and 1/2 cups old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup chopped fresh apple, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans.
In a medium saucepan, bring juice to a boil. Add the oats, apples, syrup and spices and allow mixture to return to a boil. Reduce the heat to med-low and cook uncovered for about 5 minutes, stirring once in a while until most of the juice is gone. Remove from heat and stir in the nuts. Wrap up your cereal and head for our meeting place. To show my appreciation for coming to my side, I will have plenty of Irish Coffees to go around.
Thank you so much for coming. Does anyone have a tissue to spare? I am so upset with King Teleprompter that I am almost at a loss for words. I have been struggling all year scrimping together coins in order to treat my family to a Disney World vacation. We haven't been away in 10 long years and this trip was going to be a dream come true. We arrived at Disney all starry eyed and we left all bleary eyed because as luck would have it, the King decided to give a campaign speech right on Main Street!
Oh, the inhumanity of the whole spectacle. My family and many others learned that Main Street was going to be closed down because of the king's visit. We would not be able to get food or move freely about the park. Even if we wanted to hear the king speak, which we didn't, we were barred from attending! We attempted to go on one ride and we stood in line for 4 hours! We were patted down 63 times and then we had to leave the park early because that's the way the king's men wanted things.
I ask you, my dear friends, was this necessary? The king came to the park to rattle on about the importance of tourism and he angered all the tourists who were there. My children are still crying about the experience. They were filled with anticipation at the thought of meeting Mickey Mouse but Mickey was on Main Street where we, the peons, were not permitted to go.
Clearly, the king does not have the people in mind when he arranges these pit stops. Clearly, he doesn't get the irony of talking about tourism and making tourists miserable. Our trip was ruined. Considering the poor state of our economy, it will take me another decade to save for a trip like this. Thanks King Teleprompter for being so self involved that you didn't think about anyone other than yourself. Perhaps you should lower your head once in a while and actually see the people...POP...
You walked into the park
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your head strategically flipped in the air
Because you didn't care
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
Don't you, don't you, don't you...

The king does live in fantasyland. All he does is camapaign, and to do it in Disney World is disgraceful. I would, however, pay for him to go on a Costa cruise with Captain Schettino at the helm! I am off to the inn. INNKEEPER..............
POP: He should have gone to Las Vegas to promote tourism after what he did to that city a few years ago. He could have given his speech, and no one would care.
He is truly a heartless soul.
Off to the INN - Why? Because he(Obama) can't come in!
save me a seat.....
BPOP - Look at the bright side. He got to shake Mickey Mouse's hand. Now remember back. Mickey turned up on Florida's voting rolls. Now that's called constituent services I believe.
The Frog
One of the reasons President G. W. Bush went to Crawford, Texas on vacation, was to avoid creating this sort of inconvenience for Americans. The Obama's don't seem to care.
Little Sister With Giant Brain,
This is normal behavior for Democrats it seems. Don't forget Bill Clinton shut down the fourth largest airport in the world to get a haircut. Remember?
I doubt that he thought that there might be something wrong with shutting down an amusement park or airport ever crosses their mind. Just not in the thought process. You know, I've said that this is the most arrogant president and first lady that this country has ever seen. And this is just another example of that arrogance. I'll see you at the Inn tonight. I'm extremely (excited). They are hosting an hair sex competition tonight. I'm in the competition, so I'll need that (excitement) to win. I'll be demonstrating a few of my patented "No Pants" moves, and I think this should put me over the top. (No pun intended)
bro
No doubt there is a finer image than Obama to picture when listening to Carole King's "You're So Vain". I shudder to think what that speech on tourism costs the American taxpayer in terms of logistics and security alone. Stupid arrogance...unbelievable stupid arrogance on display on a daily basis from this administration. No doubt, America has hit bottom in terms of leadership and we will stay there as long as this man is in office. WB
Shameful! That is all I have to say. See you at the inn.
Pop, the dirtbag of America is just warming up his fiddle as the us goes down in flames. His new vice for 2012? Why Michelle of course I'm riding John to the Inn, tell the barkeep to get his 30 pound trash can out. You know a drunk horse has bad manners, he's learning to fart the ABCs and it may be funny but dang it smells like the asshole in the white house.
I figured out how to get a notification on the right day, just unfollow everybody except you, 50
Tourist jobs are among the lowest paid. Compared to the oil jobs that he could have allowed.
Fantasyland.
What a total shame. People pay good money to go to these theme parks...and I have to say, I wouldn't be happy to see ANY politican there ruining what I came there for—including a conservative one. What's that old saying? There's a time and a place.
It is similar to the news broadcasts that interrupt a popular TV show. Look for this to happen soon; no wait, maybe he'll do it only on the Disney Channel.
Oh, how sad and what a terrible turn of events. The king has always seemed insensitive to me and you've confirmed it! Another time he's managed to spend someone else's money for nothing? Thanks for sharing this -- good Hub. Best, Sis
There is genuine irony here, bp, in Obama's visit to Disney World:
If you wanted to make tourists happy,
Visiting Disney was the worst thing to do.
You should have stayed back at the D.C. ranch.
Hope in November folks say Good-by to you.
Hey BPOP - I'm so sorry first - how terrible for you! I have to laugh because I wrote something and embedded You're so Vain into it - and Obummy came right to mind! I am so serious - I totally think he is a narcissist!
Today is football Sunday - so I'm gonna be happy about that too today! haha!
Great work and has to have that up up and away.
I enjoyed this one and hope you have a great day.
Eddy.

Pop,
Great Hub,
I knew the King had sullied The Magic Kingdom with his politics but you hit on another side effect I hadn't even considered. Can you say Class Action????????
The King likes class politics.
