Shipwreck Grits and a Train Wreck

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The Office of the Presidency has sunk to a new low today so let us prepare an appropriate breakfast and discuss the situation. Today we will be whipping up some Shipwreck Grits. You will need 1/2 pound of diced bacon, 1/2 cup prepared dry yellow corn grits, 5 large lightly beaten eggs, 1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter, salt and pepper to taste and salsa or hot sauce. Prepare grits according to package directions. Remove from heat, cover and let sit. Fry the bacon. Drain and save 1 tablespoon of fat. Stir eggs into bacon and scramble. Now stir in grits. Add butter and mix well. If you desire add salsa or hot sauce.
I am so riled up this morning that I think I'll skip the hot sauce. I have hot sauce flowing freely through my veins. The President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama is going to appear on The View this morning. Anyone who has ever watched The View knows what an embarrassing and undignified decision this is. He will sit there amidst at least three women who will gush all over him and one women who will probably have a muzzle around her mouth. There has to be something wrong with Obama and his advisors.
The President,who is the honorary chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, was invited, as are all presidents, to speak in person before thousands of boys who have gathered together at the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia. He has decided to insult the Boy Scouts by sending a videotaped message which is to be played today. One can only assume that the prospect of sitting around a table with the gals from The View was way too tempting to pass up. I suppose it afforded him the opportunity to diminish the Office of the Presidency at the same time that he boosts his star status. It isn't the office that means anything to Obama it is the power it affords him to do exactly as he pleases. Let's remember that this is a president who upon taking office told the world that America has made many mistakes and that America was sorry for all it had done. This is a president who treats other world leaders who are our allies with total disrespect while bowing to our enemies and slobbering kisses all over their hands. Oh my, clearly, the hot sauce in my body is really kicking in.
Whenever a choice is to be made when it comes to protocol or just good manners, this president always takes the low road. When in France he dismisses an invitation from the President of France to run off with Michelle for a romantic dinner. He returns a bust of Winston Churchill to England, a bust that was a gift to our country. He gives the Queen of England an Ipod with his speeches on it and show tunes. He walks out on Benjamin Netanyahu after inviting him to the White House. He consistently takes the presidential low road every chance he gets and it is high time we called it like it is.
We have a president who is very "un-presidential". He has no respect for the office, for the country, for its people. He is above the office, above the nation and above all of us. He doesn't owe those who put him in office a thing. He's there now and he will do as he pleases. He is not interested in observing customs, respecting time honored traditions or bringing dignity and respect to our nation. He doesn't feel America deserves this kind of treatment and he appears to be hell bent on embarrassing us before the rest of the world.
I am an American citizen, I am free to speak my mind, I am deeply concerned about the direction my country is headed in and I am tired of Barack Hussein Obama and the damage he is causing. I won't be tuning in to The View this morning. Between the show and the hot sauce I'd probably end up in the ER....POP...

I've never watched the view, have only seen clips on news shows. I will be watching with Obama on, though. I want to hear every word he says. Not mentioned on TV is what this does to the city when he comes to town. Besides the cost for police protection, everything is tied up for hours, inconveniencing thousands. So he can be on the view?! Grrr

Whoopi, Joy (boy what a misnomer) and Barbara Whaa Whaa will indeed be beside themselves; gushing like uncontrollable school girls during a Beetles Concert during the 60’s; as for poor Elizabeth her best option would be the Flu! However Pop, sauce would have been your best option; may I suggest Scotch and lots of it?
The Boy Scouts of America have been lucky up to now; let’s hope for their sake the videotaped message self destructs as in the case of the Mission Impossible tape but hopefully for their sake it does so before they have to sit through it. He is after all holding to character as he has always migrated towards those that adore him and rest assured at least 3 candles of adoration will be lit and placed at the foot of the Obama Altar as he ascends to his throne of prominence in preparation for his Pontification throughout the airways.

He does always choose the Low Road but remember in Kenya there are very few roads at all so he inherited this propensity for the choice. He has no respect for the office, for the country, for its people because he sees himself above all the aforementioned. My late step-father was an Eagle Scout, and asked that donations be made to the Scouts in his name upon his passing....THAT is classy. I saw him on the view during the election and it was quite disgusting how 3 out of the 4 women were flirting with him and telling him that he was soooo good looking. It was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen on tv. Speaking of tv - I just read a great hub about President Obama being the next American Idol Winner. It really hit the nail on the head.

Barbara is calling this a historic appearance. First time a president sits on a talk show. She goes on to say "This shows that both the president and first lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news." Really! This morning on the news just saw a clip from a 'stump' speech from yesterday where O almost choked on the phrase "as American as Apple Pie" - referring to one of his taxing bills that will help small business, in theory.
Some time ago many liberals here on hubbpage forums voiced their opinion that The View did not at all represent the Liberal voice of America, apparently our Pres disagrees! It is quite a low point in America, when our Pres will go on The View, rather than join the Boy Scouts, and rather than stand, or sit, and be interviewed with any regularity, take questions with any regularity, by 'real' journalists and commentators, rather than a bunch of squawking women who regularly make 'false arguments' on every single political topic they've ever addressed.

This president, his crew and the evil that is pervasive in America now IS from Hell. We have an affiction for a government supported primarily (I do mean primarily) by those who've given themselves over to evil.
Garynew is probably right about the Boy Scouts. The ACLU and gay activists have been after the scouts for a while now, and Obama wants to keep them satisfied.

Great commentary and it seems like lately there have been many politicians on the talk show cicuit. Mcain has also been on the view and so have many others. Obama has also been on David Letterman before he became president but I think nowadays they want to get as much exposure as possible and more people are watching talk shows than the news these days. Im not defending Obama but being that he does things less conventional the American people did want change. They got it.

He is the most unpresidential president. His decisions about everything are ill-advised and just plain wrong. To not go to the boy scouts jamboree in person is just another insult to the country. He always seems to find a way to insult this country and traditions that have been established by presidents years ago. Speaking about "ago", he gotta go. By the by, this moron is having lunch at a sub shop about a mile from where I work. I am sure his cronies are whipping up a batch of people to be thrilled to see him and hear him spout his garbage and will squeal with delight at seeing this empty suit.
