Zabaglone and a Fairy Tale

Good morning beloved breakfastpoppers. Today is Friday, March 5, in the year of our Kingdom 2010. So much has transpired since King Teleprompter took over, that exhaustion has finally taken hold of the people. Let's prepare a delicious repast of Zabaglone this morn and then come to my humble abode. There are things we must discuss.
Zabaglone is a wine-based(hip-hip hooray) custard that is very popular in the Kingdom of Italy. You will need to procure 6 eggs, 1 cup sweet wine (marsala) and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix the ingredients together and place in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until thick, stirring constantly with a whisk. Serve warm or cold. Once you have finished cooking, grab a suitcase, throw in some stuff to last a few days and head for my place. I'll explain everything once you get here.
My dearest friends, I believe that the reign of King Teleprompter has taken its toll and it is beginning to show. We have lost the twinkle in our eyes and the bounce in our step. Why? Because this King and his Court are grinding the life force out of us. If it's not one thing it's another. Why, the King hardly took over the castle and he was already proposing to shut down our terrorist prison Gitmo. He let some detainees go and off they went to plan a new attack upon us. Now the King seems unsure about what to do with Gitmo and that, my friends is because of us. We wrote letters, we protested, we met in secret, formulated plans, stormed the castle, organized tea parties and we withstood an orchestrated attack upon our morals and our motives. It's no wonder we look like hell, but thus far we have prevailed.
We have spent this year engaged in a war against health care legislation that promises to take over our lives, curtail our freedoms, tax us through the roof and throw our grandmas under the bus. The battle is far from over, but now the King and his Speaker, Princess Pouty Pelosi are threatening to ram this unpopular bill through by the process known as reconciliation. This process is an ugly solution to a an ugly bill. We, the people, have made our position known, and yet our pleas may fall on deaf ears. We shall see, but I can say with absolute certainty that the fight has been exhausting. Remember when we disguised ourselves as doors and snuck into the castle? Our purpose was to find out what was transpiring behind the scenes because the King and his Court locked us out of the process. We overcame that hurdle, but those doors were heavy and many of us pulled muscles we didn't even know we had. Oh, we are tired, so tired of the double talk, the lies, the deceptions, the name-calling, the lack of transparency, the socialists in the castle and the staggering amount of spending that will cripple our Kingdom for decades to come.
We have organized and participated in Tea Parties and now, in retaliation, Coffee Parties, loyal to the King have sprung up. We are spinning out of control and we need to step back, assess the situation, fortify ourselves, get a little sun, drink a little wine and forget about this Kingdom, this King and our problems for just a few days. Only good can come of this vacation. I propose that we all leave, forthwith, for the Kingdom of Florida, where the sun shines and the alcohol flows. We have worked hard, we deserve this break, so let us embark right now and upon our return next Thursday, we will be ready to engage the King and take our Kingdom back. I have an Idea; instead of making Zabaglone, lets’ prepare a Lone-Bag and send Za-King to Italy in it!
Pop, besides loosing the twinkle in our eyes and the bounce in our step we’ve also lost the Jingle in our pockets. Why, because this King and his Court have destroyed our economy!
Instead of closing Gitmo, he should be focusing on the war so as to Git-Mo Prisoners to lock up there. Maybe then we can secretly Waterboard them and prevent some of these attacks that have been occurring over the past year; most of which failed due to the incompetence of the perpetrators but those that succeeded took their toll on our brave men and women in uniform.
As Harry Reid said on the floor of the U.S. Senate last year just before the Surge which won the war; The Waaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr is Lost. Well unfortunately it appears the war we thought we had won; the war against Obama Care; the war we fought against the same Harry Reid, Princess Pelosi and King Hussein, we may still loose and have his Royal Health Care shoved up our peasant rear ends!
Instead of saying Let em eat Cake the Czarina is saying Let em Drink Tea in deference to the Tea Party Revolt against her husband the Czar’s Socialist Policies!
But in typical Richard Nixon fashion King Hussein Obama stares straight into the Camera with both arms spread above his head and the fingers on both hands forming the V for victory salute Proclaims; I AM NOT A SOCIALIST!

POP: King Teleprompter and Princess Pelosi are trying to push this bill through before the Easter break. If they send congress home before the vote, they'll never get it. I do wonder if they'll get it now. Some Dems are questioning sections of the bill. This, of course, can be just a plan to get favors for their votes. Anyway, I think a lot of congressmen are re-thinking this bill - they are up for re-election, and the people will vote them out, and they now know it.
I will take your advice and have a little R & R myself. I'll find the sun, tan my body, and have some of that wine you were talking about. YMMMMMMMM.
We do need a rest to re=group and win this battle.

It has been below freezing at nights for so many days, I'm considering moving somewhere warm, but the good news is that the sale of tequila is up. I must be getting old because my tolerance level is very short, I cannot understand how tax cheats, liars, bribes, and communist have become the norm in Washington. It is very exciting to see so much dissent on the part of some dems, but that is because of the abortion language. We'll see what happens, but I hope this bill implodes. Enjoyable fairy tale, and Florida surely sounds good about now. We have had an enormous amount of snow here in WV this long, cold winter. I need a break, the sick feeling in my stomach increases daily as these progressives work to destroy my nation.
FYI-I did publish a new hub last evening, but I bet you didn't get a notification. The hub team told me to publish on my own and email them. I have sent them an email so I hope people will eventually get a notification.
POP, you did not say how long this recess will last.. I too am tired, OLD and tired, but we cannot, should not, ever sound like we are going to tear down the great American flag and hoist the white flag of surrender! I think I will take a break myself.. You are correct, it has been grueling. Guess what? When I opened my suitcase I found some old beef jerky that may have had artifical elk flavoring. POP, have a great and relaxing break from all this crappola! I've been contemplating shutting this thing off for a week and going outside to play. We are looking to have a drop from the 70 degree highs back to about 59 on Sunday so a cold front smacking the warm front we are having will, I hope produce our first Thunder Booming Lightening dance of the year and I hope it is filled with cloud to cloud lightening dances. They are freeking awesome to watch and I look forward to them every year. I'll be skipping the bar today so I will, Good Lord willing see you Thursday!

BPOP, I missed the morning rush as I just got home. I think we are all so sick of Obama and congress that nay break would be healthy, for Scotty as well. I think Naples will be gorgeous and you may find some oranges that far south. In Jacksonville, it is cold at night but sunny th redbud trees are in bloom, so we will be having out usual week of spring and then comes summer. Have a marvelous time.
